Therapeutic Massage
Not to confuse you that these techniques are therapeutic and the Wellness “Swedish” Massage is not, but when you are looking for a bit more than light to medium pressure – you’re on the right page.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic Massage is a combination of modalities (techniques) utlized by your therapist to give you the best session ever. These techniques include but are not limited to:
Deep Tissue: True deep tissue massage can be one of the most therapeutic and healing massages. Although not as rhythmic as other massage types, deep tissue massage interacts the most with the muscles and muscle groups. Benefits: After a deep tissue massage, sore and tired muscles often become revived and energized. Body often feels as if it had a strenuous, yet impactful workout. Deep Tissue should not be painful for more than 3 days.
Trigger Point Therapy (NMT): Trigger points are tender areas usually found in tight muscles. They may radiate, or refer, pain to other areas of the body. They can also cause muscle weakness or restricted range of motion. Trigger points can result from a number of causes, including direct trauma, exposure to cold, and overuse of a muscle group. Neuromuscular massage is a manual system of working with trigger points. Benefits: Good for relieving soft tissue pain and dysfunction, improvement of circulation, pinpointing relief to specific problem areas.
Session length: Massage Hour* Cost: $60.00
*All massage hours are 50-55 minutes of therapy, but will appear as 60 minutes on the schedule (unless of course you have added more time (i.e. scheduling for a 90 minute session-$90)). This allows your therapist to investigate your needs for your session and for you to get ready (dressing whether before or after the session).
