Interested in learning whether we can bill your insurance?

Massage therapists accepting physician referrals is not new.  If you are suffering from an acute or chronic pain resulted from a car accident, injury at work or a personal injury you may be able to bill for treatments using your medical insurance or workers compensation plans.  Utilizing your therapist’s training in Neuromuscular Re-Education, Trigger Point Therapy, Medical Massage all falls under “Manual Therapy.”  The hands on approach to our treatments help you feel better longer without the use of machines as in the typical rehab situation.

All treatments billed to an insurance company MUST be MEDICALLY NECESSARY and must be according to a medical doctor’s prescription.  The diagnosis must always come from your doctor.  It is not in our scope of practice to give a diagnosis.  Therefore, you cannot bill insurance companies for treatment unless the doctor has confirmed, by diagnosis on a written prescription, that your condition is deemed to be medically necessary.

To know whether or not your complaint is medically necessary is the physician’s responsibility.

WILL MY Insurance cover my sessions?

We are considered an ‘out-of network provider’ and have been successfully recognized by major medical insurance companies like United Health Care and Aetna.  In the State of Colorado, we are most often allowed to assist your recovery in a workers’ compensation case or in a motor vehicle accident covered under the med-pay policies you selected. Verification is required prior to your first visit to determine your eligibility.

NOTE: A MEDICAL MASSAGE TREATMENT, TREATMENT PRESCRIBED BY A DOCTOR, IS DIFFERENT THAN A NON-MEDICAL TREATMENT and will be subjected to the Standard and Related Fee Schedule.
