I became a massage therapist for lack of anything better to do.
I soon realized how rewarding it is to help people feel better. All the wear and tear on a person adds up and takes it toll and I have the ability to help make their lives just a bit easier.
I have sense realized that I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. So after many hours trying to figure out which direction to go next, I am pursuing a degree in psychology. I couldn’t stop there of course. With the help of an old friend I have discovered the plethora of knowledge in books found anywhere and regarding many different subjects. Some of my new favorites include The Richest Man In Babylon by George S. Clason, Launching a Leadership Revolution by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward, and The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz, PhD. Some of the most helpful books I have recently read help me to get along and see people as …well people, like Leadership and Self-Deception by the Arbinger Institute.
Funny how my degree only teaches me about people as science projects and items to study. I look forward to seeing people more than I ever have now that I can help them and relate to them.
